C# Developer / SQL Server 2005 DBA
We are looking for an experienced developer with 4+ years experience to join a development team working on and supporting online web and intranet systems.
As an experienced developer we would expect you to be comfortable working with a range of technologies and methologies. C#, ASP.NET, .net Framework 2.0/3.5, Web Services, Background Windows Services, CSS, Brower compatibilites, XML, NUnits, TTD, Cruisecontrol, Regular Expressions, Domain Models, Classes, Design Patterns et al.
A core area of this role with be working with our existing DBA on our SQL Server 2005 database; Your role in this will be to do performance checks on T-SQL code before it goes live and to address any coding performance bottlenecks identified. This will be a challenging role and will open up opportunities to become more specialised in SQL Server 2005, T-SQL and database application development.
As a developer you will need to be comfortable learning and using existing code, learning new technologies, learning new development skills and becoming more focused with existing skills.
The primary responsibilities for this position will focus on system development (Web Services, Background Services) that will tie into intranet systems (ASP.NET, C#, .net 2.0 mostly) and our central database.
Essential Job Requirements:
- CS Degree (or equivalent)
- C# .net 2.0+
- ASP.NET
- SQL Server 2005
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- MCTS in web applications / ASP.NET
- MCDBA / MCTS in SQL Server 2005
- NHibernate
- SQL Server Replication
- SQL Server Profiler
- SQL, UDF, Views, Indexes, Triggers et. al.
