One of our key commodities Clients in Fairfield County is very motivated to add a Developer – Risk to its Information Technology group.
This developer will build tools to analyze Market Risk. The role involves working with the risk group and delivering the methodologies they develop to analyze and manage market risk as packaged tools to the desk. This job is a fantastic opportunity to learn market risk analytics.
Risk analytics at our client is currently run using Matlab modules. The desire is to move such analytics into an enterprise framework that is robust and scalable. This job will require implementing risk methodologies in the new platform. The developer on this role will work very closely with members of the risk team and of the Front Office IT team.
Ideal candidate would be a solid programmer with strong quantitative skills. He/she would have 2-4 years work experience, preferably in a financial institution. The candidate would have very good knowledge of Java or C++ Any Matlab knowledge would be a strong plus. He would have strong interpersonal skills and be good at communication.
• 3-5 years of programming, preferably in a financial institution. Any experience programming analytical applications is a plus. And knowledge/skills abilities as follows are required:
Java
J2EE
JDBC/SQL (Oracle)
Strong quantitative background
Microsoft Excel
Scripting (Windows, Linux), a plus
C++, a plus
Matlab experience, a plus
