Corporate Solutions Architect
Location: Edmonton, Alberta

A Corporate Solutions Architect is required to assist CLIENT, as part of the Architecture Services team within the Information Technology branch, in providing architectural guidance for new and existing information technology solutions.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Architecture Services, the Services required of the successful Vendor’s resource include, but are not limited to:
• Perform architecture quality assurance and oversight on application development and maintenance engagements;
• Ensure that CLIENT program architects and contracted vendors are made aware of CLIENT project dependencies, key changes, and opportunities;
• Provide CLIENT Service Delivery Managers with early advice to ensure that project scope reflects all architectural opportunities and captures key dependencies;
• Incorporate project architecture solutions back into the CLIENT Enterprise Architecture Repository for future leverage;
• Provide advanced technical troubleshooting for high impact application defects and production outages;
• Provide technical leadership by engaging in application development process improvement with CLIENT contracted vendors;
• Create current state architectures, future state architectures, architecture gap assessments, as well as architecture ‘roadmaps’ to remediate identified gaps pertaining to CLIENT initiatives such as, for example:
Alberta NetCare EHR;
Pharmaceutical Information Network;
Provincial CLIENT Registries (Client, Provider, Delivery Site);
Provincial Health Information Exchange;
Provider Claims Submission Assessment; and
Clinical Identity and Access Management;
• Create and maintain architectural standards and guidelines with the CLIENT Enterprise Architecture Repository; and
• Create proof of concept and application prototypes that explore architectural concepts
Written reviews of project solution architectures that will be incorporated as feedback to application development and maintenance activities;
Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
Must have experience working with the Health/eHealth programs either at the Canadian Federal level or Canadian Provincial Level only.
