Our Client is a large business solutions company, based out of Ramsey, NJ. They are looking for a Web Services Project Manager to join their team on a perm role.
The Web Services Project Manager collaborates with the Web Services Manager, Web Services Engineer Manager and business partners in managing web application projects. Through daily oversight, the project manager provides guidance and direction in the project life cycle of analysis, development, testing, and launch.
Major duties, activities, and responsibilities:
• Work with Web Services Manager, assess and fully understand the scope, audience and intended goal of a project as well as estimate needed resources independently.
• Work with client to build a complete project specification.
• Work with Web Application Engineer Manager to assess resources needed as well as guide the technology path and application logic of the project.
• Develop and execute a project plan that includes project scope, detailed specification, timeline, status reports and prototypes.
• Collaborate with client project manager responsible for project content and business information.
• Manage details and resources of projects for the length of the project.
• Report the status of all projects and resources on a weekly basis to the Web Services Team.
• Fulfill project administration tasks: status report collection, statistic collection and email communications
• Work with other departments within ITS, (SAP functional, ABAP, etc.) when necessary.
• Maintain the project post-launch for production support with newly assigned resources
Education:
Bachelor’s degree.
PMP certification preferred, or knowledge of PMP principles.
Experience Two to Three years:
• Experience managing enterprise-level projects.
• Demonstrated ability developing and deploying structured project phases, including scope, specification, development, testing, launch and post-launch phases.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with clients, maintaining a strong relationship throughout the course of the project.
• Experience building and maintaining project documentation including project scopes, specifications, timelines, status reports, and enhancement lists.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a technical team in identifying the inclusion of appropriate technology for the project.
• Experience working closely with client managers in developing business content.
• Demonstrated ability to develop testing application, hardware, and network scenarios
