Java Developer is required by a leading and online publisher. This established organisation provides award winning online services and publications and attracts millions of online users.
Due to the ongoing success and expansion of this organisation they are currently recruiting for a Java Developer who will be responsible for a the design and development of various web applications projects.
Applicants are required to have solid Java/JEE Development experience with proven project experience in the development of Web Services and E-Commerce websites.
Experience with managing and allocating workloads for other developers and mentoring them.
Technical requirements:
•Extensive commercial Java development experience
•Excellent JSP, Servlet, Filter and Tag Library experience (Ideally with MVC frameworks)
•Experience with MVC and application frameworks such as Struts, Spring and Hibernate
•Experience with SOAP and Web Services
•Experience with Build Management and Version control (Ideally with CVS/SVN/Ant/Maven)
•XML/XSL, DTD, Schema experience with Java
•UML and Object Oriented Design
•Test driven or other agile development methodologies
•Excellent knowledge of SQL databases (Ideally with MySql)
•Linux administration experience (Ideally with Red Hat Enterprise)
•Java Application Server experience (Ideally with Tomcat/Jboss)
•Javascript, HTML, CSS experience
•Excellent English communication skills is required
