Job Details:
Job Title : Java/J2EE Developer
Location : Ft Meade, MD.
Job Type : Full Time Position.
JOB SUMMARY
We are in need of a JEE Developer / Team Lead. The selected candidate will join a small team designing and developing the XYZ system. XYZ is a project that is currently implementing a proof-of-concept and will soon be focused on developing the longer term solution. The proof-of-concept integrated several capabilities together into a demonstrable system, but doesn't meet the long term requirements.
The selected candidate is expected to help define the system architecture, select appropriate technologies, design the software architecture, and develop software to satisfy the overall requirements. The selected candidate may also take the role of lead developer, which would also require that person to manage work assignments of other team members. The candidate is also expected to participate in testing the application prior to deployment.
In addition to the custom developed software, the XYZ system integrates some commercial products into the overall system architecture. The integrated products will be controlled by the XYZ system. Experience integrating software is a plus, but not required.

Previous experience conducting system / software design
Java / JEE design and development
Hibernate or JDBC
JBoss
Desired skills:
Web Services, servlets, JMS
Previous team leadership
COTS Integration
Experience with VM technologies
